Bryson boys rout Poolville, 12-1

POOLVILLE – Having a 12-1 lead should not leave you with angst.

Bryson Baseball Coach Brent Tuel had a bit of it Monday evening here, remembering a time a few years back where his squad led 13-4 and wound up suffering a 19-18 loss. His anxiety was quickly relieved, however, as the Cowboys remained unbeaten for the year with a 12-1, five-inning victory.

Tuel’s troops are 5-0 with the win, the mentor saying this is the first game where the Cowboy bats came alive.

“We did a great job as a team,” Tuel said following the two-hour contest. “We were missing three starters due to different things, so we had some freshmen in or kids in unfamiliar roles and they all did well.”

Senior pitcher Braeden Houser allowed just two hits with 10 strikeouts on the hill. He walked the first two hitters of the game trying to get into sync with new catcher T.J. Imotichey.
