Bryson boys hounded by Knox City
BRYSON – Knox City must love playing Jack County schools.
Earlier in non-district play, the Greyhounds took a 76-27 win over Perrin. Friday night, Knox City held Bryson to just 189 total yards and needed just a half to post a 55-6 win over the host Cowboys.
Bryson goes to 3-2 with the setback, ended by the 45-point mercy rule. Knox City led 23-0 at the quarter and outscored the hosts 32-6 in the second.
Bryson had a balanced attack with 93 yards passing and 96 yards rushing. Quarterbacks TJ Imotichey and Landon Stephens were 4-19 passing with a touchdown and an interception, Stephens leading the way with 79 yards in the air. Leading the receiving corps was Xander Tinney with three catches for 79 yards and the lone Bryson score. Landon Stephens had a 14-yard reception as well.
Imotichey led the way on the ground with 80 yards on 13 carries. Marcos Espinoza had one carry for seven yards with Chris Harris adding nine yards on three totes for Bryson.
Harris led the way with six tac ales on defense. Ragen Register and Espinoza also had three tackles for Bryson.
The Cowboys end the non-district schedule Friday in Crowell.
