Bryson kicking camp April 1

Bryson Athletics is hosting a Kicking Camp featuring Texas Tech great Matt Williams Saturday, April 1. Camp for grades 2-6 runs from 9 to 11 a.m. with grades 7-12 running from noon to 2 p.m.

Cost is $50 with multiple athletes from a family costing $45 each. Checks can be made out to Bryson Athletics and given to Jason Briles, 300 McCloud St. in Bryson.

Perrin girls beatĀ Graford

Lady Pirate softballers remained perfect in district action Tuesday night with a 16-3, five-inning win over Graford.

Perrin overcame a 2-0 deficit with an eight-run second. Graford had its final run in the top of the third before Perrin responded with a three run third and four run fourth.

The squad pounded out 15 hits with Kaylie Anderson and Joey Anderson each coming through with three hits, the latter bringing home five RBIs.

Blake Gaskill had five RBIs among her two hits, Lara Watson, Chelsea Gregg and Ashton Sims also had two hits in the game with Watson having two RBIs with Gregg and Sims having one RBI each.

Kaylie Anderson got the win in the circle, allowing three hits and striking out seven with four walks in the game.

The Lady Pirates also had a 17-6 victory in Ranger on March 17. Ranger led 1-0 after one but the visitors struck for two second inning runs and nine in the third, Perrin scored six times in the fifth before Ranger added five more but fell short in extending the mercy rule game.

Joey Chapman had three hits and three RBIs. Kaylie Anderson and Jetton Cansler each had three RBIs among their two hits. Kelli Tucker had two RBIs, including a homer among her two hits.

Gaskill and Gregg had a combined five hits and batted in four runs.
