Perrin BB eliminated

FORT WORTH — A little extra work in the batting cage can help solve hitting problems.

After picking up just one hit in its opening game with Lindsay May 11, the Pirates were looking for more pop in their bats as Game 2 approached May 13. Perrin spent a lot of time before the game taking batting practice.

Lindsay, the No.5-team in the state, stuck to the Game 1 plan, getting out to a quick start and using excellent pitching to hold Perrin to just two hits in a 4-0 Game 2 win at North Crowley High, sweeping the series and knocking the Pirates out of the Class 2A playoffs.
