Bryson hosts FB camp

BRYSON – Football season is right around the corner.

Coaches here worked with about 10 future Cowboys as football camp was held here earlier this week. Head Coach Jason Briles and his coaching staff worked Tuesday morning with some of the defensive points of the game.

Current players also aided in the camp to give the boys someone to look up to in the hope those young men will become future Cowboys, Briles said.  One player, Caden Lay, also demonstrated proper technique for the campers to follow.

Tackling was demonstrated in two ways, using a traditional blocking dummy and also a wheel where campers could wrap their arms around the soft wheel and bring it down. Keeping their head in the proper position to avoid injury at all times was also emphasized.
