JHS track hosts Invitational March 29

Jacksboro hosted its annual invitational March 29 at Tiger Stadium.

The varsity boys finished 3rd with 91 points, led by wins from David Massengale in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:04.36. Massengale was also a member of the winning 1,600-meter relay along with Hunter Hackley, Randall Hamilton and Ke’Ondrae Sadler which posted a 3:40.85 time.

Finishing second was Javier Palomar in both the 1,600-meter run (5:03.23) and 3,200-meter run (11:29.71). Sadler was also runner-up in the long jump with a 19’8 1/2” effort. Hackley had an individual third in the 100-meter run in 11.67 seconds and was a member of the 800-meter relay foursome with Victor Banuelos, Gio Salazar, and Sadler in 1:35.84.

Santiago Salazar was fourth in the 400-meters in 56.70. Also finishing fourth were Jose Palomar in the 1,600-meters (5:09.06), Fernando Piedra in the triple jump (39’10 1/2”) and Seth Isbell in the discus (127’ 9 1/2”). Santiago Salazar was fifth in the long jump with an 18’9 1/2” leap. Coming through in sixth place was Daylon Valles in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:15.05.
