Bryson boys finish 2nd
BRYSON – Cowboy fortunes are skyrocketing as the boys' basketball team continues to fight for a playoff spot, winning its fourth in a row with a pair of victories this past week.
Bryson opened the week Friday with a big road game at Woodson. Despite shooting 60 percent from the field, the Cowboys needed a big fourth quarter to break open a close game and take a 50-32 win over the hosts to go to 5-4 in district play.
Bryson jumped out to an 11-6 lead after one but Woodson held its own in the second, each team scoring 10 points, to keep within five, 21-16 at the half.
The Cowboys continued a solid offensive performance, outscoring Woodson 13-12 in the third before blowing things open in the fourth, outscoring the hosts 16-4 to take the win.
