Bryson administrator selected principal of the year

Eric Wilson, principal of Bryson School has been selected to represent the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals as Region 9 Outstanding Principal of the Year.

TASSP recognizes outstanding principals and assistant principals from the 20 region Education Service Centers in the state. School administrators are nominated and chosen by their peers within their regions. Nominations are based upon exemplary performance and outstanding leadership. As a Region 9 winner, Wilson is eligible to compete for the state title of Texas Principal of the Year.

Wilson, a sixth-year principal, has been a member of the leadership team at Bryson ISD since 2012. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Texas State University and his Masters of Education in Sports Management from Baylor University.

Each of the region winners will be recognized during the Josten’s Night of the Stars Awards Dinner, June 12 at the Hilton Austin Downtown Hotel. Each will be presented with an award and recognized in a commemorative book entitled “Texas Principals, Texas Heroes.” The TASSP Summer Workshop will be held June 13-15 at the Austin Convention Center.
