It’s been a good 2017 as far as Jack County sports teams are concerned.

With deep runs in the playoffs for some teams and not so good seasons in others, it all comes around to make things interesting for supporters. As usual, there are different types of stories for everyone.

In no particular order, here are our Top 10 sports stories of the year gone by:

Rodgers replaces Hodnett as Jacksboro AD

Brannon Rodgers came to town to replace Brian Hodnett, who took a position as AD/Head Football Coach in Haskell. Rodgers came to town with much success from Crosbyton and brought the success with him to the Tigers. Along with his AD duties, he also took the position as Assistant Principal at Jacksboro Middle School.

Rodgers had the chance to work with some of the kids during the Spring and admitted then he liked what he saw and saw good things down the road.
