Bryson mercy rules Woodson

WOODSON – Bryson finished the first half of its schedule Sept. 29 with a convincing 59-7 win here to go to 3-2 for the campaign.

The Cowboys outscored the hosts 37-7 in the first and added three scores with conversions in the second quarter to end the game at halftime on the 45-point mercy rule. Bryson had just 302 total yards.

Quarterback Braden Houser was 9-13 for 216 yards and five touchdowns. Paul Davidson was 1-1 for 3 yards in the air as well.

Davidson had four receptions for 86 yards and three scores. Ethan Robinson and Paxton Whitaker combined for four receptions for 113 yards and one touchdown each. Tanner Buchanan had two catches for 20 yards as well.

On the ground, Robinson had 32 yards on two carries, both for scores. Houser had a 40-yard TD run of his own with Conner Hoffman and Harley Hammond each having one carry as well.
