Bryson Fb wins, Perrin loses
Bryson picked up its first win of the year on the gridiron Sept. 8 with a 76-8 victory over Wichita Falls Notre Dame while Perrin wasn’t as fortunate, suffering a 40-0 loss at Cross Plains.
The Cowboys (1-1) scored 38 points in the first two quarters to end the game on the mercy rule. Bryson ran just 25 offensive plays and held the host Knights to 37 yards and two first downs in the game.
Bryson put up a balanced offensive attack with 323 yards, 175 in the air, as quarterback Braden Houser was 7-9 for 150 yards and Paul Davidson, was 1-1 for 25.
Davidson led the receiving corps with three catches for 53 yards and two scores. Ethan Robinson had two catches for 40 yards with Tristan Stephens grabbing two passes for 34 yards and a touchdown.
Tanner Buchanan had a 46-yard scoring reception with Paxton Whitaker having a 25-yard reception.
