Roberta F. Staley, 79, of Rosenberg, Texas passed away August 2, 2017 in Richmond, Texas.

She was born on August 16, 1937 to Aubrey and Katie Reynolds. Roberta was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rosenberg and was the outreach secretary for the church, retiring after 27 years. She remained active in the church and Sunday School Class. She would often assist in preparing food for special occasions and funerals. 

After retirement, Roberta volunteered at the Rosenberg Rail Road Museum. She was always helping others whether it was baking them a sweet treat or lending an ear – helping others was truly her calling. Known as “Grannie Fannie” to her grandchildren, Roberta enjoyed watching their endeavors. This loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend will be missed.

In addition to her parents, Roberta is preceded in death by her husband, Royce; and her siblings, Warren Ray Reynolds, Lorea Horton, Kenneth Reynolds, Nelda Huttenmaier and Terry Reynolds.

Survivors include her two sons, Keith and Shawn Staley; grandchildren, Laura Elizabeth, Kaitlyn Mae, Mason Royce and Reese Lloyd Staley; sister, Kathleen Owen; sister-in-law, Willie Mae Henderson; brother-in-law, Jerry Staley; along with other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2017 in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

The service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017, at Calvary Baptist Church, 4111 Airport Avenue, Rosenberg, Texas, burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
