Perrin boys rebound, beat Meridian
PERRIN – In its bidistrict series with Meridian last week, Perrin lost a tough game one 5-3 May 4. A change of venue to Azle rebounded to take games two and three 7-5, 5-3. and the series.
Perrin is now 12-9-2 with Meridian ending at 15-12-2.
In the opener, the Pirates got to Bradley Wallace in the first inning, however. Hunter Francis opened with a single with Dathan Hill following with a walk. Francis beat a throw home on a fielder’s choice play, which allowed Sammy Hernandez aboard, with a groundout plating Hill for a 2-0 lead. A groundout kept Hernandez holding the bag.
