Perrin SB wins district title
BRYSON – Perrin’s softballers were gunning for a perfect district season Saturday and had to go through Bryson, which had given them a battle in the first meeting in an 8-6 Lady Pirate victory, to complete the job.
Mission accomplished.
After a “come to Jesus” meeting in the early going, Perrin erupted for six runs in the second inning enroute to a 13-3, six-inning win over the Cowgirls. Perrin ends its regular season at 12-0 in district and 15-5 overall and faced Chico in the bi-district round of the playoffs Thursday night (no details available as of press time).
Bryson will go into the Class A postseason as the top seed, finishing the regular season at 10-2 in district. The Cowgirls received a first round bye with no playoff details confirmed as of Thursday morning.
