Perrin softballers stay atop loop

GRAFORD – Perrin continued its quest toward a perfect district season with a 13-4 win over the host Lady Rabbits April 14.

Perrin picked up all the runs it’d need in the first with a five-run atbat. The Lady Pirates added three in the third and one in the fourth.

Graford scored one fifth inning run to avoid the shutout. Perrin added five runs in the sixth to take a 13-1 lead. The hostesses tacked on three in the sixth to keep the game going a full seven frames.

Perrin slapped out 17 hits with Ashton Sims leading the way with four hits and a pair of RBIs.
