Bryson girls fall in bi-district
GRAFORD — Bryson’s softball team had problems with Alvord pitcher Mikena Mader, who struck out 15 and allowed just one walk and four hits in a 7-1 win over the Cowgirls Thursday evening in a Class A bi-district playoff game.
Bryson ends the year at 11-7.
The Cowgirls scored in the 6th after a Makayla Foyt bunt, an error, and a Jacie Lewis sacrifice fly. Bryson tried to extend the rally with a Kayleigh Pippin single and K.T. Sherrin being plunked by a pitch but a strikeout prevented further damage.
