Bryson man arrested following deputy shooting

A Bryson man was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault of a public servant following a shooting Saturday, Oct. 12.

Brad Paul Clayton, 46, of Bryson, was booked in the Jack County Jail shortly after midnight Sunday, Oct. 13. As of Monday, Clayton’s bond had been denied.

According to a probable cause affidavit, at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jack County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Deputy Chris Reger attempted to conduct a traffic stop, just east of Bryson on U.S. Highway 380.

Clayton reportedly failed to yield and instead pulled up to his residence, off Hwy. 380 East.
