Unofficial results show Lewis wins by one

With all of today’s votes tallied, the unofficial results of the Bryson ISD School Board election show write-in candidate for the Place 2 seat Danny Lewis winning over opponent Hayden Behling by one vote.

Lewis received 23 votes to Behling’s 22.

But there are still 10 paper ballots out that could be counted. 

Jack County Clerk Vanessa James said absentee ballots postmarked by May 5 and received by Monday at 5 p.m. are counted.

Lewis was the clear favorite among absentee voters garnering votes from 11 of the 12 returned as of Election Day.

For the uncontested seats, Cliff Smith received 44 votes and Travis Thorne 42.
