Teens help pick up trash around lake

Tue, 07/13/2021 - 10:09 am

Many people get after today’s younger generation, saying they’re lazy and unmotivated. Those folks have never met Braxton and Bryson Crunk.

The Jacksboro High School students were taking part in their favorite activity, fishing out at Lake Jacksboro Monday after the Independence Day celebration. The boys, who are out there six or seven days a week, according to their father, Michael Crunk, had been fishing for about 20-30 minutes when they got to talking with Jacksboro Police Department Officer Chris Simmons who was out picking up the trash.

Bryson, 16 and a member of the JHS fishing team, and Braxton, 14, a soon to be member of the squad, said the pair were getting ready to come home and pulled up to talk to Simmons. The boys took over from there.
