Pill Drop-off nets 55 pounds of medicine

Members of the Jacksboro Police Department, Jack County Sheriff’s Office and STOMP collected unused medication during the Pill Drop-off from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Jack County Courthouse. Jacksboro Police Chief Terry McDaniel reported 55 pounds of various medicines were collected during the event and will be destroyed by the Drug Enforcement Agency. McDaniel said organizers plan to offer the service quarterly if the participation from the community warrants it.
