The Perrin FFA Broadcasting team brought home a state championship title after competing at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Dec. 3 and Dec. 4.

The students are evaluated on a six to eight-minute presentation over an agriculture broadcast similar to listening to the radio. Criteria include: ability to hold audience’s attention, volume and enthusiasm of the speakers. There were over 600 teams which began the tournament to the state championship from schools in the 1A-6A classification, all competing against each other. Perrin’s team brought back the state championship title.

Outside of the broadcasting team, Perrin was also represented by the Greenhand Quiz team which finished in 18th place at the state finals. In addition, the Agriculture Issues team finished in 11th place, just missing the state finals.
