PERRIN – Under principal report during last week’s school board meeting, Elementary Principal Amy Salazar said that her students were taking part in Destination Imagination late last month in Denton with some students taking part in a science camp out at Possum Kingdom Lake and others celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday. In honor of that, Salzar said she would be reading to many of the younger students.

Salazar proudly announced Dillon Cauley won the Jack County Spelling Bee last month and that seven of the final 10 spellers were Perrin students.

Superintendent Cliff Gilmore said that attendance at the secondary school was at 94.8 percent through Jan. 21 and 95.94 percent at the elementary school for a combined 95.41 percent. Enrollment at the elementary is at 200 students with another 57 at the junior high and 105 at the high school for a combined enrollment of 362 which is the same as it was in August.
