It's Homecoming time!

    Jacksboro High School seniors Hunter Hackley and Tyler Harmonson help light the bonfire Monday night to kick-off Homecoming Week.

As the parade floats line up, here’s a rundown of events going on this weekend for Jacksboro High School’s Homecoming.

 

The Homecoming Parade will begin at 12:30 p.m. This year’s parade theme is “Live Your Brand.” 

Following the parade, the Homecoming Princess and Queen Coronation will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the High School Main Gym. The Homecoming Pep Rally will begin at 2:30 p.m. in the High School Gym. 

The Junior Class Barbecue Dinner will be from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the High School Cafeteria. Advanced tickets are $12 and $14 at the door. A child’s plate (age 10 and under) will be available at the door for $8. “To Go” plates will also be available. 

Pre-game ceremonies will begin at 7 p.m. at Tiger Stadium and will include the announcement of the 2017 Homecoming Queen and her court along with the Coming Home King and Queen. The Homecoming football game between the Tigers and the Bowie Jackrabbits will kick off at 7:30 p.m.

 

Muffins and Memories

The Jack County Museum will host Muffins and Memories for Jacksboro Homecoming weekend from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at the museum, 241 W. Belknap St. Coffee and muffins will be served with Jacksboro High School items on display.

 

JHS 50th Reunion

The Jacksboro High School Class of 1967 will ride together in the parade. At 2:30 p.m., class members will meet at Concerned Citizens for snacks. 

A table is reserved for the class at the Junior Class Barbecue in the cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. 

The class will sit in the south side of the Tiger Stadium stands at 6:45 p.m. for the pregame ceremonies. 

The game will be followed by a social time at 9 p.m. at Concerned Citizens. The formal class photo will be taken at that time. At 9 a.m. Saturday, the class will meet for breakfast at Concerned Citizens.

 

JHS 60th Reunion

The JHS Class of 1957 will have its 60th class reunion at the Church of Christ activity building beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 30. There will be a light lunch and heavy visiting. 

All class members are encouraged to attend and other classes wishing to visit are welcome. There will also be a table reserved at the Junior Class Barbecue Friday evening at the high school cafeteria.
