Hospital board changes meeting dates
In a brief meeting Tuesday evening, Jack County Hospital District Board members agreed to a change in the bylaws to move their monthly meeting date.
Because of board members having increasing trouble making Tuesday night board meetings, the board opted to move their meeting dates starting in June to the fourth Monday of every month at 6 p.m. Because the fourth Monday in May is Memorial Day, the board also voted to cancel its May meeting.
The board members also listened to reports from different hospital committees. The FCH Foundation Board re elected Phyllis Elenburg as its president and appointed Leslie Chalmers as vice president. Approval was also given to Jane Ann Rhoten to be the Foundation Board’s newest member. There is still one vacant position on that board.
Wellness Center Director Joe Copeland also gave a report at the foundation meeting, saying the center has picked up 794 members in its first year of operation.
