Faith Community Health System Acquires Medical Clinic in Graham

Wed, 10/21/2020 - 5:00 am

As the state of healthcare in the region continues to evolve, Faith Community Health System announces its expansion with the acquisition of Graham Healthcare and Urgent Care located at 1005 Elm St in Graham. The acquisition will convert the physician-owned clinic to a hospital-based facility in a non-monetary change of ownership transaction.

“While we’ve done some work in the past by providing healthcare education programs and support to our Graham patients, our acquisition of Graham Healthcare allows us a permanent presence in the community by providing a structured approach to medical care,” explains Frank L. Beaman, CEO. “We have some pretty ex citing plans for the clinic, and we cannot wait to bring added value to the community.” Lori McBrayer, FCHS Board President stated: “the addition of the rural health clinic in

Graham is part of our continued strategic plan to bring “Faith” into the communities we serve”.

In a deal that has been in the works for several months, the two organizations say that the acquisition and conversion to a hospital based Rural Health Clinic will have no implications for patients. Beaman adds that being in alignment with Graham Healthcare means that Faith Community can offer much-needed access to ancillary services such as advanced laboratory processing and diagnostic imaging. Dr. Jeremy Johnson, co-owner of Graham Healthcare is currently on staff at Faith Community Hospital and conducts clinic at the Jacksboro location as well as delivering babies at the hospital.

“Soon, patients will benefit from an integrated health system bringing a continuity of services and care to the community,” Beaman explains. “Bringing the Graham Healthcare clinic under the Faith Community Health System umbrella will give us greater flexibility in how we serve local patients. It also means addition al healthcare resources for the clinic.” Located in Graham, the clinic offers specialty and primary healthcare services in an almost 4000-square-foot facility.

All providers at the clinic will continue servicing patients, including Johnson, Dr. Aaron Purdy,

Rachael Creel FNP, Kari Bullard FNP, Samantha Purdy CPNP, Lisa Lunsford CPNP, and Kirk Higgins PA. With the above team, the clinic will continue to care for all healthcare needs including general medicine, urgent care, pediatric, obstetric, dermatology, preventative medicine, and geriatrics.

“It is a great step for us to take our service to the next level with our affiliation with Faith Community

Health System”, says Dr. Aaron Purdy of Graham Healthcare. “This is an exciting chapter for the clinic as we transition ownership and operations to Faith Community. Rest assured that we will continue to provide excellent care to patients and families.”

The acquisition of Graham Healthcare and Urgent Care is just one of many moves by FCHS in recent years that show how the demand for quality and continuity of local healthcare services continues to grow.

Since 1958, Faith Community Hospital has provided continual medical care for residents in Jack County and the surrounding region. In 2015 the hospital celebrated the opening of its replacement facility, ushering in a new era of advanced medical programs and services for the region. Since that time, adding to the Jacksboro location, FCHS has expanded rural health clinics in Bowie and Alvord.

Consistent with Faith Community branding, the clinic with be renamed to: Faith Community Rural Health Clinic-Graham.

Providers and patients will have the ability to access past medical records at Graham Healthcare as databases transition over to the systems used by Faith Community.
