Bryson is planning on a $1.40 tax rate per $100 valuation with maintenance and operation at 96 cents and Interest and sinking at 44 cents.

The board also approved paying for an $8/month/employee increase in health insurance for its 30 employees.

The board also approved new courses for the Fall: video game programming and advanced video game programming. London said teacher JR Stearns currently has five people in the program for AV art and audio and wanted to add the computer programming side of it.

London said the courses, which the TEA didn’t develop but thought enough of them to okay them, are “innovative.”
