STOMP hires Jacksboro native

Fri, 02/09/2018 - 6:22 pm

STOMP, Standing Together On Meth Prevention, has hired its first paid position made possible through grant funds and AmeriCorps.

Caillie Perry, a recent graduate from Midwestern State University, will be working with the drug abuse prevention organization.

Perry will work to increase STOMP’s drug prevention and education efforts through the research and development of drug education and prevention materials, increase community partnerships, volunteer recruitment and development of funding opportunities.

Perry, who is also a Jacksboro High School alumnus, is looking forward to making a difference in her hometown.

“My main goal is to help this organization continue spreading awareness about the various effects drug use/abuse can have both on individuals and communities,” she said. “I hope to do this through helping STOMP develop new programs additional to those already in place, by training volunteers, and bringing all of Jack County together to fight towards ridding our communities of drug use and abuse.”
