Photography contest deadline Monday

The Wichita Falls Council of Royal and Select Masters is hosting an area photography contest.

Photographers may enter their 8x10 photographs in black and white or color by sending a $10 entry fee per photo along with their name, address, phone number and an email address for corresponding.

Photos should be sent in a sleeve.

There will be 3 categories: historic, outdoor and abstract. Photos should be labeled on the back with name, contact information and which category it is to be entered. Checks may be payable to WF Council #140.

Winners for each category will be awarded a gift certificate from local businesses. First, second and third place winners for each category will receive a medal.

The judge will be Gary Goldberg, art and photography professor at Midwestern State University.  

Photos should be mailed to York Rite Body - Council of Royal & Select Masters , 3503 Kemp Blvd., Wichita Falls, Tx. 76308 with your check or money order. Do not send cash.

Judging will take place Sept. 12 . A display of the collection will be held and awards given during the viewing from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17.
