DSHS to host shot clinic Aug. 15

The Department of State Health Services will host an immunization clinic in Jacksboro from 9:30-11 a.m. and 1:30–3:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 at Live Oak Baptist Church.

Vaccines are available for kindergarten, seventh grade and college entry. All infant immunizations will also be offered. Adult immunizations are available to those who qualify. Please bring your immunization records to the clinic.

The Texas Department of State Health Services provides vaccines for those on Medicaid, no insurance, American Indian, Native Alaskan, and the under-insured. CHIPS, Medicare and private insurance are not accepted at this clinic. If your private insurance covers vaccines, you will be referred to your doctor. Parent or guardian must accompany a minor. VFC vaccines are provided for $10 per visit, with a maximum of $20 per household. Adult vaccines are $20 per visit for adults with no insurance. No one will be denied services due to inability to pay.
