Concerned Citizens reports donations

Concerned Citizens has received several donations. Donating to the general fund were the Devon Energy Employees, Norvill Construction, Darla Jackson, Billy and Janice Pursley, Delta Kappa Gama, Jerry and Tracey Graybill, Gail and Mike Bialas, Dorothy Prunty, and Jean Henderson. The Southwest Baptist Church gives a monthly mission donation to the center. The Lord’s Acre gave for the centers upkeep.

Souper Bowl Sunday donations were received by Live Oak Baptist Church, Jannie and James West, Angie Simpson, Lisa and Randy Deweber, Tommy and Phyllis Best, Joel and Stacy Hood, The First Baptist Church, First United Methodist, Grace Baptist, Live Oak Baptist, Jack County Cowboy Church, Bible Baptist, Wizard Wells Baptist, St Thomas Episcopal, and the Parish.

W.P Gleason gave in memory of Don Kidd. Lou and Clinton Easter donated in memory of Karla Haston, Dick Conner, Johnny Preston and Ms. Leatherwood.

Danny and Neva Scarbrough gave in memory of Dr. Ken Russell, Larry Watson, Barbara Newton and Lynda Fenter’s sister Madene. The Ralph and Allice Hammond, Rod and Kathy Hammond and Ryan and Becky Hammond gave in memory of Dr. Ken Russell. Brad Horton was remembered by Gwen Fitzgerald and Arneta Pursley. 

Naomi Gwaltney donated in honor of Bobby Riggs and Lynda Fenter.

Florence Anderson, Jerry Smith and The Adult V Sunday School Class from First Baptist church gave in memory of Barbara Newton.

Donating in memory of Larry Watson were Jerry Smith, Sylvie Sims and Gwen Fitzgerald. Cherry Armstrong was remembered by Jack County Sheriffs Possee, Elaine and Derek Pryor, Janice and Kenneth Savell, Barbara and Lynn Clay, Melvin and Janice Clay, Mike and Nadene Mathis, Oleta Thompson and Debbie and Ricky Colbert. 

Carolyn Williamson was remembered by Mary Hanna.

Mike and Vadene Mathis gave in honor of Marcia Swan’s birthday.

Carole Hobdy teaches beginning computer classes. The Dollar General donated Bingo items. Gary and Kelly Oliver keep our grease trap clean at no charge to the center. Jill and Mike Coker and Coker Funeral Home provide the magazines for the lobby at Concerned Citizens. Woodshed Works provides flowers for the tables at the center throughout the year. Beyond Faith donated for Congregate meals. Beyond Faith, Kindred at Home, and Speciality Nurses donate for movie nights.

All donations are appreciated and are tax deductible. Our mission is to serve the needs of the elderly and disabled in Jack County. Since Concerned Citizens is a 501c3 organization we are able to be a recipient of a matching gift program.
