Back to Basics Fair set for Friday
The Back to the Basics Fair, sponsored by Texas Agriflife Extension Service and Faith Community Hospital, is scheduled April 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jack County Fair Barn.
Speakers are scheduled hourly beginning at 9 a.m. with rainwater harvesting presented by Palo Pinto County Extension Agent Scott Mauney. At 10 a.m. a session on composting is scheduled. At 11 a.m., a wine making class taught by James Rice is on tap.
Jack County Extension Agent Charlie Martin will host a class on small land and animal management. Beginning at noon with Alinda Cox, Jack County Extension Agent/Family and Consumer Science showing everyone how to repurpose items with a 1 p.m. seminar.
Also on the agenda are a farmer’s market, gardening tips, other demonstrations and vendors. The event is free and open to the public. For information, contact Kristy Holman at email@example.com
