Jacksboro AD and Head Football Coach Brian Hodnett made a very simple but true observation during Meet the Tiger Night Monday evening.

As a few coach’s kids were standing near the inflatable Tiger waiting for their favorite players to come out of the tunnel and potentially receive a handslap as acknowledgement, the fourth-year had coach shook his head, smiled and said “this is what it’s all about.”

An annual event brought a nice crowd to Tiger Stadium as a crowd of parents and supporters had the chance to see the athletes, cheerleaders, band members and others who will represent Jacksboro this fall. Hodnett welcomed the crowd and thanked them for allowing the coaching staff and club sponsors the opportunity to work with their kids.

Middle and high school athletes were introduced, each individual having the chance to come through the giant inflatable Tiger. The “Purple Pride” Jacksboro High School Band gave fans a sneak peek into their halftime show, playing their opening number from “How to Train Your Dragon.”
