The Jacksboro Tigerette softball team had to overcome more than just their opponent when they traveled to Electra to take on the Lady Tigers Tuesday evening.

The Tigerettes were missing some players due to illness and others were weakened, but able to play. However, the Tigerettes were able to fight through their challenges to race out to an early lead before falling to Electra 13-11.

The Tigerettes were able to score in each of the first five innings, allowing them to take an 11-4 led into the bottom of the fifth inning. Electra broke through for nine runs in the bottom of the fifth to defeat the Tigerettes 13-11.

The Tigerettes will play in the Wichita Falls Sunrise Optimist Club Tournament this weekend.
