A week that saw snow on the ground Tuesday ended with the first baseball action of the season as the Jacksboro Tigers hosted the Windthorst Trojans in the first baseball action of the season.
The Trojans outscored the Tigers by a score of 6-2, but there were many encouraging signs for the Tigers as they prepare for the first actual game of the season when they travel to Eastland Tuesday.
Head Coach Blake Belcher saw positives in the Tiger’s effort as he stated “I was pleased with our defense and effort, but we did not hit well. However, it was the first time we had seen live pitching — the bats will come around.
The Tigers will open their season with a game at Eastland Tuesday and will participate in the PBJ (Peaster, Brock and Jacksboro) tournament this weekend.
