The Jacksboro Tigers fell to 1-3 in district play as they fell to the City View Mustangs Tuesday night.

The Tigers fell behind early as the Mustangs raced out to a 18-6 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Tigers were able to play City View even in the second quarter and sent the Mustangs into halftime leading 26-13.

The third quarter was the best quarter of the evening for the Tigers as they outscored the Mustangs 17-12 to enter the fourth quarter within range as they trailed City View 38-30. However, the Tigers were not able to complete a comeback as they fell to City View 53-40.

Despite the loss, there were plenty of bright spots for the Tigers.
Coach Ken Thompson praised his team’s effort. “I thought we played very hard and I was very proud of my team for battling back from huge first and third quarter deficits,” said Thompson.

In other varsity action, Holliday defeated Henrietta and Bowie defeated Nocona.
The results leave the Tigers in a tie for the fourth and final playoff spot in District 8-2A.

Jacksboro will travel to Henrietta to take on the Bearcats tonight.
