The Jacksboro Tiger football season ended much earlier than hoped when the Blooming Grove Lions kicked a 48-yard field goal with seven seconds left to give them a 38-35 victory over the Tigers.

However, the Tigers demonstrated a great amount of character as they battled back from a first half deficit to almost pull off the victory.


“We had a great start but when we lost  the momentum in the first half, we never could get it back,” Coach Brian Hodnett said. “I was very proud of the way we didn’t quit in the 2nd half and battled back to tie the game. Blooming Grove made plays when they had to and found a way to win.”
