The Jacksboro Tiger and Tigerette Cross Country runners participated in the Lindsay Cross Country Meet last Saturday.
The Tigerettes continued their strong season as they placed second in a twelve team field at the meet.
The Tigerettes were led by Freshman Jessica Lamberson who finished third in the meet. She was followed by Kaylea Maples who placed ninth at the contest. Samantha Shipp placed tenth, as the Tigerettes placed three runners in the top ten. Yuridia Delgado placed 19th, Cayley Strickland placed 27th, Alexis Easley placed 44th and Megan Harris placed 49th.
The Tiger runners just missed a top three finish as they placed fourth at the meet, missing third by just one point. Jacob Bridges led the way for the Tigers as he placed tenth at the meet. Dallis Salinas placed 16 th. He was followed closely by Brandon Nelson who placed 19th.Jack Lamberson placed 28th, Zach Montgomery placed 30th and E.J. Lozado placed 32nd.
Hoyt Nebgen placed 42nd in the Middle school race and sixth grader Jack Lamberson compete independently and placed 21st in the Middle School division.
Head coach Joel Hood was very excited his teams' performance as he commented, "We are showing a solid improvement as we move through the season. This coming weekend will be a very important meet for us. We will be running in Wichita falls against many of our District competitors. It will be a great opportunity to see how we stack up again."
