The Jacksboro Tigerette volleyball team competed at the Nocona "Buckle Up for Lane's Sake Tournament" last weekend. The girls were able to play seven matches in a two day period that Coach Doyal believes will "make the girls stronger physically and mentally as the District season approaches. Friday was Pool Play for the Tigerettes, as the girls played four games and finished third in their pool. The day's matches included a 25-18, 25-18 defeat of Nocona's JV, but the Tigerettes fell to Lindsey 25-27, 25-20 and 25-23. Throughout the seven games, the Tigerettes were only outscored by a total of 27 points with a final differential of 389-416. Head coach Brenda Doyal was very proud of her team's effort as she commented "We didn't finish as well as we hoped, but we saw great progress, especially in our defense. The narrow point differential shows how close our matches were. We will be a better team as a result of these efforts."
