Joyce Ann Guthrie passed away at her home in Jacksboro Friday, Oct. 22. She was born Dec. 23, 1946, also in Jacksboro, to Wright and Lillian (Montgomery) Strickland.

A visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at Christian Missions in Jacksboro. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 10 a.m., with burial at Lynn Creek Cemetery.

Joyce married Nelson Guthrie on Feb. 19, 1969 in Graham. Throughout her life, Joyce was a geriatric nurse at the nursing homes in Mineral Wells, Graham and Jacksboro.

David Phillip Stewart passed away Sunday, Oct. 17, at his home in Jermyn. He was born Nov. 20, 1947 in Fort Worth, to Clifford Carlos Stewart Sr. and Blanche (Martin) Stewart.

Gary Dean Winton passed away Wednesday, Sept. 8, at his home in Temple. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro.

Lewis Ernest Massengale II, 48, of Jacksboro, died Saturday, Oct. 16.

He was born Jan. 1, 1973.

He was preceded in death by mother Debra Preston Leatherwood, grandparents R.W. and Maude Massengale, Willie and Patsy Preston; uncles Richard “Cooter” and Carl Massengale; aunt Glenda Massengale Pierce.

Jacquline Suzanne Bailey, affectionately know as Jackee, passed away Sunday, Oct. 10 at her home in Jacksboro. Jackee was born on April 17, 1974 in Jacksonville, Ark. to Jackie Lynn Jackson and Janet Sue (Ellerbee) Staggs.

A visitation was held from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro.

Linda Sue Damron passed away Sunday, Oct. 3 in Paradise, at the age of 65 years old. She was born Aug. 28,1956 in Bowie, to Joe and Barbara (Horn) Glass.

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8 at Coker Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. with burial following at Oakwood Cemetery.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; husband Danny Damron; and grandchildren C.J. Phelps and Alyssa Phelps.

Teresa Gail Boner, 66, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 29, in Decatur. She was born Aug. 17, 1955 in Grapevine, to Tommy Newton Boner and Bobbie Lou (Sweatnam).

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at the Wizard Wells Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Wizard Wells Cemetery.

Teresa was a member of Wizard Wells Baptist Church. She loved to visit with friends and family and hold all the babies. She never met a stranger and would remember you from the first time she seen you.  

Teresa is preceded in death by her parents and brother Timothy Boner.

William “Bill” Richardson was born January 4, 1948 in Fort Worth, to Edyth Swan and Paul Richardson. Billy Ed, as his cousins and most classmates called him, graduated Jacksboro High School in 1967. On June 1, 1968, he married the love of his life Karon Isaacs. While serving in the Navy from 1968-1972, Bill and Karon welcomed a baby girl, Melissa Dawn in 1971. In 1975, Staci Anne was born. Bill began teaching auto mechanics in 1976 at Bridgeport High School, along with Weatherford College. In 1981, Robert Brandon was born, and Bill had his own shop in Jacksboro, Bill’s Auto Repair.

A graveside service for Dolly Anne ‘Bunny’ Wilson, infant daughter of Ani and Luke Wilson, was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1 at Wizard Wells Cemetery in Wizard Wells, officiated by Christian Cleghorn. Although Baby Dolly was born in Heaven, her presence will forever be felt here on Earth by her parents and other family.

She leaves behind her parents Luke and Ani (Guereca) Wilson, of Wizard Wells; siblings Dane, Ronin, Alice Starr, Teddy, Sullivan, and Sailor Mei; grandparents Jerry and Deborah Wilson, and Joseph and Madeline Guereca; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ima Jean “Jeanna” Luna, 67, passed away in Ft. Worth on Monday, Sept. 27. A visitation was held from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro.

Jeanna was born Feb. 26, 1954 in Jacksboro to Joe Melvin Wigington and Onita (Farris) Wigington. Jeanna worked and retired from Walmart, but was mostly known as a caregiver by anyone that knew her. She loved everyone but especially loved her kids and grandkids. Jeanna was preceded in death by her parents.
