Martha Moore Trescott, 75, died in Urbana, Illinois November 15, 2016. 

From Dallas, Texas, Martha attended Highland Park High School, and went on to study chemistry and theology at Southern Methodist University. She worked in scientific research and was on the staff of several universities including the Michigan Institute of Technology. 

She was widely published, and lectured on the role of women in science and engineering, and strived for social justice. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents Frances McConnell Moore and Murray Winn Moore of Dallas, survived by brother Murray W. Moore, Jr. and niece Melanie Moore Sakran, as well as beloved cousins. 

Graveside internment service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 11 at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas, with a reception to follow directly after at Highland Park Cafeteria, located in the Casa Linda Plaza at 1200 N. Buckner Blvd. All are welcome to join in remembrance.
