Edwin Earl Willis, Jr., 64, died March 7, 2014. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16 at Christian Missions 2381 Hwy 380 W, Jacksboro.
Ed was born Nov. 24, 1949 in Newport News, VA to Edwin Sr. and Catherine Willis.
He graduated Warwick High School in Newport News, Va. After graduation, he joined the Air Force where he was a C-130 Loadmaster. Ed was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base where he met and married Anita Downing. They were married 31 years and had two sons. Ed worked at D & B Steel Company for 12 years and was the safety supervisor for Pride Refinery for 18 years.
He met and married Brenda Smith of Jacksboro October 2, 2010. Ed was employed by Crest Pumping Technologies.
Ed was a hardworking man, who loved to hunt, fish, camp, ride motorcycles and spend time outdoors with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edwin Sr. and Catherine Willis.
He is survived by his wife Brenda of Jacksboro; her daughter, Traci Clift and husband Ryan, their children Haylee and Hannah of Abilene; her son, Terry Smith and wife Brittany of Dallas; his son, Tim Willis and wife JoBeth of Abilene; his son, Chris Willis and wife Megan of Flower Mound, three sisters; Juanita Scripter and husband Don of Yorktown, Va.; Sylvia Thompson and husband Bill of Newport News, Va.; and Kathy Sloanaker and husband Jim of Honeybrook, Penn.
