If you want “wild plum” jelly, but don’t want to pick the fruit, come to the Farmer’s Market Saturday, July 31 at the Jack County Museum.
A freshly picked supply will be available. In addition to plums, you will find watermelons, cantaloupes, nectarines and all varieties of fresh vegetables. Homemade jellies, jams and pickles will also be on hand.
Tables are available to vendors for a $10 donation, and all of which benefits the Jack County Museum. Friends of the Museum are the sponsors of the market and encourage anyone who has items for sale – produce, homemade food items, crafts, etc. – to join them Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at the museum. Attendance and participation for the market has been increasing each week. Besides being able to purchase fresh produce, it is a good place to visit with neighbors. Anyone desiring more information about the Farmer’s Market may contact John Enright at (940) 229-4690 or Melanie Berry at (940) 567-2850. |
