The Jacksboro Tigerettes dropped a tough decision Friday to Millsap, 41-44.
“The girls played defense well against a solid Millsap team,” said Coach Jon Shaw. “They fought hard and stayed in the game til the end.
“I’m very proud of the hustle the girls gave the entire game,” he added. “They just came up a little short.”

The Lady Bulldogs posted an early lead, claiming a 25-20 margin at the half. But, the Tigerettes came out strong in the third quarter to keep the game tight at 32-33.
Although the Jacksboro ladies posted a nine-point final frame, it wasn’t enough to get the win.
Breanne Cathey led the Tigerette offense with 10 points, three rebounds and a steal.
Jaci Williams poured in nine points, and added a rebound, a steal and four assists.
Allie Smith came up with eight points, five rebounds, three steals and four assists.

Calie Turley knocked off five points, five rebounds and two steals.
Laken Plaster bounced in four points.
Riley Smith notched two points, four rebounds and two steals.
Carley Mahoney added two points, three rebounds, a steal and an assist.
AK Davila sank one from the charity stripe and came up with a rebound.
The junior varsity Tigerettes fell to the Lady Bulldogs, 33-41.
“The girls really hustled Friday night, but missed free throws hurt us in the end,” said Coach Krystal Hacker.
On Jan. 19, Peaster blew past the Tigerettes 95-31.
Allie Smith led the Jacksboro scoring with 12 points. Mahoney and Plaster added five each, Turley and Davila four apiece and Riley Smith one.
The JV squad also lost, 32-54.
The Tigerettes return to District 9-2A action today (Friday), when they travel to Alvord.
