Local merchants are teaming up once again with local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8914 and the Marine Corps League for the annual Toys for Tots Program.
New, unwrapped toys may be placed in boxes located at Jacksboro Newspapers, Jacksboro Police Department, The First National Bank, Jacksboro National Bank, Citibank, Dollar General, Diamond Grocery, IGA, Mr. Cut Rate, Rick’s Electronics and City Drug or at the VFW Post at 203 Oakwood St.
Toys should be age appropriate for children 16 years of age and younger. Donations will be accepted through Friday, Dec. 18, at the various locations.

To apply for the program, families must complete an application form and submit the information by Friday, Dec. 18.
Application forms are available on Page 6 of this edition of The Jacksboro Gazette-News, at the VFW Post or at the Jacksboro Newspapers office at 212 N. Church St.
Toys will be delivered to families Sunday, Dec. 20. Volunteers are welcome to assist with the sorting and delivery process.
