Concerned Citizens is pleased to receive several donations and appreciates all volunteer efforts on behalf of Jack County Concerned Citizens.
Barbara Clay and Cynthia Burkett donated several bingo items. New meals on wheels volunteers are teams from the John Lindsey State Jail, First National Bank and Faith Community Hospital. We thank these employers for allowing their employees time to give back to the community. John and Arneta Pursley gave in memory of Buck Williamson, Denzy Leatherwood, Wayne Henderson, Paula Joann Gary, Cyndy Cross, Eudean Pierce, Veronica Horton, Jean Lindsey, Cuma Whitsitt, Lydia Loncar, Vera Kidd, Louise Frie, Michael Flower, Virgie Faulknor and Myrt Low.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pierce gave in memory of John R. Williams and T.D. Williams. Shawn and Danice Grisham; Max , Stacie, and Deryk Poynor; and Ophelia Henderson gave in memory of Cuma Whitsitt. Janie and James West gave in memory of Denzy Leatherwood. W.R. “Sonny” Isbell gave in memory of Peggy Isbell and Short Frazier. Glenn Poynor was remembered by Velma Slimp and family and Russonna Jones-Briscoe. Southwest Baptist Church made their monthly missions donation. Jean Henderson, David Marie Lindsey Hunter and Aubrey Myrtle Kind donated to Concerned Citizens. Kara Easter Hutton donated supplies for the kitchen. Fred and Carolyn Calhoun donated a computer for the computer lab. We still have three old ones we need to have replaced for the weekly computer classes. Florance Anderson donated in honor of Gayle Burleson’s and Carolyn Wash’s birthdays. All donations are appreciated and are tax deductible. Our mission is to serve the needs of the elderly and disabled in Jack County. Since Concerned Citizens is a 501c3 organization we are able to be a recipient of Planned Giving such as bequests. |
