Jacksboro Lions Club is at it again. This time with a service project the whole community can participate in.
The club is hosting its second annual Pack the Bus event.
Friday, August 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Lions will be on the Courthouse Square with a school bus they hope to load up with donations of school supplies.
Clint Myrick, coordinator of the event, said the club hopes to build on the success of last year’s Pack the Bus.
To participate, community members just pick up some items from the list of supplies the Lions are seeking and stop by the Square to drop them off during the event.
Supplies requested are: wide-rule notebook paper, folders of any color with brads, crayons, erasers, pencils, colored pencils, markers, pens, wide-rule spiral notebooks and glue sticks.
Most of the supplies will be distributed to students during the Back To School Fair hosted by Faith Community Hospital set for 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5.
