Moncrief Cancer Institute will provide mammograms to Jack County residents through its mobile mammogram unit. The next mobile mammogram visit is coming up Tuesday at Jacksboro High School.

Mary Stewart of Moncrief said there are 37 possible slots available and only a third of those have been filled.

The services are fully funded for women without insurance who meet eligibility guidelines.

To schedule a mammogram appointment call (800) 405-7739. Leave a message and a return phone call should be received within 48 hours. The phone registration process takes about 15 minutes and will require insurance information at the time of registration.

For those who are uninsured or underinsured, there is grant money available that you may be eligible to receive for the cost of your mammogram. Grant qualification will be determined during the registration process. English and Spanish speaking individuals can be accommodated with the mobile mammogram service.
