Former Jacksboro City Finance Director Erika Hobson, 34, was arrested Wednesday. She was charged with theft by a public servant more than $100,000, less than $200,000.
She bonded out the same day on a $30,000 bond posted by her attorney.
Sheriff Melvin Mayo said Hobson turned herself in Wednesday afternoon. She was processed at the jail and afterwards, released on bond.
Justice of the Peace Nolan Dunlap signed the warrant for Hobson's arrest, but failed to secure a copy of the affadavit of arrest presented to him by Texas Ranger Jason Shey.
With no copy of the affadavit available within the courthouse records, the Gazette was unable to obtain that public document containing details of probable cause as of press time.
Two days prior to Hobson's arrest, it was announced at the regular Jacksboro City Council meeting that Hobson was under investigation.
