The third annual joint reunion of the William Marion Shields and Christopher Columbus Weir families will be held Saturday, Oct. 12 beginning at 11 a.m. at the C.C. Weir home place in the Union Point Community, north of Jacksboro.
There will be a wonderful meal in a comfortable, air-conditioned building made available by C.C. Weir's great-granddaughter, Sandra Crum Haney. The location is 482 Weir Lane (at the corner of Martin Road and FM 2190). The building is south of the early Weir residence which still stands on Martin Road.
Family members are asked to bring all the usual reunion items: a covered-dish and/or a dessert for the noon meal, old family photos, memorabilia, memories, and an item for the silent and live auctions. Meats, drinks, paper goods and dinnerware will be provided. Questions can be directed to Sandy Haney (210) 288-9902 or Larry Shields (940) 507-1309.
