The Jack County Retired School Employees Association is planning the Annual Barbeque Fundraiser to raise funds to give three $750 scholarships to a deserving graduating senior in each of the county high schools and also fund the purchase of 250 books to be given to students in the three county elementary schools. Every year Dale Thomas and his crew of Retired School Employees cook briskets and serve them with all the trimmings at the Jacksboro High School Cafeteria. This year, the dinner will be Friday, Oct. 18 from 5-7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. We will deliver meals within the city limits. Whole briskets may be purchased for $45. You can order ahead from Dale Thomas at (940) 567 3569, Floyd Easter at (940) 567-5900, or Jean Henderson at (940) 567-5153. JCRSEA hopes everyone will come out and support this project to benefit the students of Jack County.
